There are so many things I love about thrifting. For one, you get a lot of great clothes for a price the original retailers would’ve choked at if you had suggested it. Another, it’s an easy way to update your wardrobe without breaking the bank.
My absolute FAVORITE reason though, is that sometimes you’re lucky enough to come across labels and certain items that you would’ve never even DREAMED about being able to own, all for under $10.
With that said, let me introduce you to my Dior shirt!
- Shirt, Christian Dior, thrifted at a local Goodwill. All the letters originally had this weird velour coating when I bought it a few years back, but it was really beat up and didn’t look all that great (my guess for why it was discarded in the first place.) My mom and I spent an afternoon picking on it and rinsing it off, finally getting it to the black lettering underneath. I don’t wear it that often because the fabric is literally skin tight and it fares better in the winter than in the summer, but how can you NOT love the detailing on the back and the fact that I’ve got Dior literally over my heart.
- Skirt, Guess by Marciano. We got this in back in December and I lusted over it for months, finally buying it for $25 v. $118. I love it and every time I wear it it catches peoples eyes. Even my college professor made a comment about it once! If worn with a black tank, it even looks like a dress, so the options of how to wear this are endless.
- Necklace, stolen from sister.
- Heeled Sandals, bought at Target a year ago…
