For those of you who are unaware, the 4th of July is my favorite holiday of the year. I love everything about it: the fireworks, the picnic blankets, the hot dogs, apple pie, and the plethora of drunk adults.

This year, we celebrated with the entire town on the 3rd and on the 4th (after a reallllly slow day at work) we headed over to my neighbors house for a bit of a celebration. Of course, we all ate too much, sang karaoke, played a few games of beer pong and laughed at all those over 40 who were SMASHED (there were more than you’d expect…)

This is the outfit I wore to work. I changed for the bbq, but I forgot to get real pictures of it. I’ve determined I need to find a better place to take pictures since this little area in my room is a bit distracting. Although, I do love showing off my polaroid wall!

PhotobucketOutfit:

  • Top, thrifted. Bought with the specific intention of wearing it on the 4th of July. It’s been sitting in my closet for months and finally had it’s chance to shine with the arrival of independence day. I forgot to take a picture of the back, but it has the cutest flap of striped fabric by the neck (think sailor) and I love all the shell detailing. It’s all so random, but works together so well. I like to think that some other lady wore this on the 4th of July once upon a time as well.
  • Belt, thrifted.
  • Pants, GAP. Bought on sale for $17. This was the first time I’d ever worn them. It was between the blue and the black and I opted for the blue because Justine convinced me that they looked younger and I’m beginning to think she has a point. Sadly, these babies must be worn with heels otherwise I think I look too short, but I love how loose and comfortable they are!
  • Heels, bought for $10 at Reflections in the TO mall. Being Patriotic from my head to my toes!
How did you spend this American holiday?
Hope you all had a good 4th of July!
