So at my house, we have this tradition of inviting a ton of people over, printing out a stack of ballots and having a big ol’ party to celebrate the most exciting awards show of the year: The Oscars. We’ve been doing this since I was a teenager, and this year was no exception. My sister even surprised us by flying in for the weekend so she could attend. Needless to say, it’s a big deal in my house.

Overall, I was pleased with the list of winners! I thought (for the most part) the right people won – and everything was very well deserved. Did you have any thoughts?
Usually, I would do a best dressed list with all of my favorites of the night – but this year, however, there was only ONE person on my list: Lupita Nyong’o in Prada.
Seriously, her dress SLAYED and, in my opinion, no one else’s even came comes in comparison…

It was a total Cinderella moment and the fact that she walked home with the ultimate accessory (an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 12 Years a Slave) made the whole experience that much more special.
