I’ve talked about my battle (it’s really not THAT violent) with eczema here on the blog before, as it’s something that I have to deal with on a regular basis. It, for the lack of a better word, blows.
So, I have people constantly telling me different products that I should try. Coconut Oil has been recommended to me on more than one occasion and I finally picked some up at Whole Foods yesterday. Yup, sold on the shelves of a grocery store. Apparently, it’s one of the most effective natural treatments for the disease. I’ve used it one night (on my face) and I’m already very impressed with the results.
Apparently, coconut oil is great for eczema due to the fact that it contains antibacterial and antioxidant elements. It helps to reduce inflammation and contains vitamins that help to nourish the skin and help to reduce the itching (THANK GOD). Find out more about it HERE.
Apparently, it’s also amazing for hair – and you can use it topically or ingest it with your food. Basically, it’s worth a shot!
I’ll keep you posted on if it’s worth the hype!
