My girlfriend Amanda works at Malibu Wines and we ventured over there to meet up with her after her shift. We spent a good portion of the afternoon just sitting outside, drinking wine and enjoying the sunshine (arguably our favorite way to spend a day)!
I’ve officially been unemployed for a month now and it’s much less daunting than I thought it would be. I’ve already had a handful of interviews (I even turned down a job that wasn’t right for me!) and my friends and I have dubbed our local Starbucks “The Office,” since we like to go there armed with our computers and do research and work on projects. I think the easiest part of this whole experience is that I’m not in it alone – we are all looking for the next step and the fact that I’m getting the chance to do it with my favorite people makes the experience that much more exciting.
In other news, check out THIS INTERVIEW that I did about blogging with the website Smart Indian Women! Easily the coolest thing that will happen to me today (especially considering this afternoon consists of mostly doctors appointments).
Also! The blog has had a bit of a makeover! I’m so excited about this whole “New Year, New Look” idea. Now that the blog is done, the next step is getting my butt into a gym!
