So for Christmas, the boyfriend got me a hot air balloon ride, complete with a hotel stay in Temecula, California. We drove all the way down there, checked into the hotel, had an easy night walking around a shopping center and then went to bed early for a 5am wake up. Lo and behold, we get to the launch site and find out that we can’t go up in the balloon due to weather.
SO – we wound up going back to the hotel for a nap and then wandered around Temecula, which turned out to be one of the cutest downtown areas that I have ever seen. One of those places where people were on wine tours (happy drunk), others were on the corner singing in suits and ties, and good Samaritans were out trying to raise money to save the animals. I was in love.
We went to this little place where we had a great wine tasting (followed by a big glass of red for yours truly) and just had a really nice time with each other.
So even though there was no balloon ride this time, I can’t wait till we get to go back and do it all again.
