Top: Michael Kors; Trousers: JCrew; Scarf: Alexander McQueen; Flats: Tory Burch; Necklace: UO

I’m beginning to think this stripes/skull combo is going to become an easy uniform for me this fall. Lacking on outfit inspiration, Allie? Pair one of your million striped shirts with this magical scarf, and you’ve got yourself an instant look. (That was an inner monologue inside my head the morning I put this outfit on, obviously…)
This look will also provide you with the ability to float in the air. Which is pretty cool. You know.
Cause floating is fun.
The brilliant part about this outfit is that the only thing I paid full price for was the scarf. The top was a lucky thrifting find (with the tags still attached!), as were the trousers. The Reva flats I haggled for on eBay, walking away with them for a mere $50 (down from $200!). I’m pretty sure that’s one of my favorite aspects of shopping; the ability to find treasures for a fraction of the price. It makes me so much more proud of my clothing, knowing that it was my own version of a treasure hunt … know the feeling?
On another note, my boyfriend’s sister has (once again) decided to start and maintain a blog. As most of you know, the beginning stages are usually the hardest (cause we all want people to read what we write, but finding readers is the hardest part … GAH) – so if you have a second, please go and give her some words of encouragement as she sets out on this new(ish) endeavor!
