As of yesterday, it’s been fifty years since the incomparable Marilyn Monroe was tragically taken from us. My family was heading to the theater later in the evening, so we decided to stop by the cemetery in Westwood to pay respects to the legendary screen actress. Of course, the place was packed. It’s crazy to think that even fifty years after her death (that’s fourteen years longer than she actually lived), people still love her. There were thousands of dollars worth of floral arrangements and a constant parade of people coming out to remember her.
Of course, when saying hello to one of the greatest Hollywood legends, ones outfit must be an homage to the golden days. Instead of a vintage dress, I opted for a full and fabulous a-line skirt, comfy lace shirt and, of course, a pair of classic cat-eye glasses. After all, a woman must always be classy, no matter what era she’s in!

If you’re ever in LA, Marilyn’s final resting place should definitely be on your to-do list!
