I know this is ridiculously late, but with the holidays and all my relatives coming to visit, I just couldn’t find time to sit down and write my review! Remember when CSN asked me to do another review for them?
But now the time has come!
I selected the Paul Patent Petite Hobo with Bow in Black.
I picked this hobo back mainly for its resemblance to Valentino’s large black patent tote:
One of my old managers at work had been given this Valentino beauty as a birthday gift from her husband, and when I saw the CSN Murval version, I just couldn’t help myself.
A lookalike of a $1195 bag for only $30? I’ll take it!
The bag itself has gotten mixed reviews from my friends and family. Some of them really like it, others have made fun of it for looking like a “hefty” bag (coughcoughTrevorcough). It’s really not for the faint of heart.
Personally, I like it. It looks different from any other bag I own and manages to stand out amongst them all. I’m normally not a patent “leather” person, so it was unusual for me to pick this material, but this bag is kind of helping me come around to it. My favorite part? It had rained for like a week straight here in Southern California, and this bag kept all of my belongings nice and dry. It’s a raincoat!
It’s pretty roomy on the inside, even though it’s called a “petite” hobo. I manage to fit a great deal of stuff into this little bag, including: wallet, keys, various makeup, lotion/hand sanitizer, spare pair of flats, Canon Rebel. It’s light and allows you to stuff it to your heart’s content.
It has charm and provides a great twist on fashion for one of those days that you don’t feel like getting all done up. It is light and easy to carry and is constantly getting commented on.
Would I recommend this bag to a friend? Definitely.
