Top: Thrifted F21, Pants: Thrifted Target, Shoes: UO, Necklace: UO
Once more, I apologize for how late these pictures are. This outfit was from last TUESDAY. Oof. Bad blogger! Bad bad bad!
For the most part, I’m pretty predictable with what I wear. I tend to stick to the cream, beige, white, black, blue, red spectrum. With the occasional stripes and cheetah print of course. (This even goes for nail colors! God, I’m boring…)
I guess when I proclaimed to my friends on the first day of senior year of high school that I wanted to be “classy” forever more, that included how I dress.
It wasn’t until really recently that I started getting into trends and began to allow myself to dabble in some of them.
70s flair leg jeans? Check! Military inspired coats? Check! Maxi dresses? Check! Wedges? CHECK!
The appearance of neon for spring was a huge awakening for me, and now I’m slightly obsessed with all things bright and colorful. When I saw this shirt at a local thrift shop, I just knew I had to have it and snatched it up before anyone else could.
I wanted to counter balance the bright yellow/green with black, to dull down the explosion of color that was going on up top. I thought it worked quite nicely! I’m planning on bringing this shirt with me for when I see Lady Gaga on Wednesday. I think some variation of this outfit is in order!
What about you? Do you ever allow yourself to dabble in trends that you never thought you would like?
And here’s some neon eye candy for you…perhaps it’ll give you some inspiration! :::
