I’m currently in the process of bowing down to the fashion Gods and thanking them for my good luck this past weekend.
I brought two bags of clothes to sell to Buffalo Exchange in Ventura. To my good fortune, they took a surprising amount of it and told me that I could either take $75 in store credit or $50 cash. Naturally, the shopper in me took the store credit since I knew I’d spend money there anyways.
Trevor spotted these babies before I did. He pointed to them on the wall and I nearly freaked out when I realized that they were my size, practically brand new AND in my price range. I tried them on and they were a perfect fit…not to mention totally unlike ANYTHING I own.
Just by trying them on, I can see why designer shoes are so expensive. They may be 3+ inches, with zero platform, but they feel like I’m wearing flats. They move with you when you step. Brilliant. I want 50 more pairs.
Sigh.
It’s love.
PS: Instead of just dumping off your clothes at your local thrift store, bring them to consignment shops like Buffalo Exchange and Crossroads! You’ll be surprised how much they’ll take and maybe you’ll wind up walking away with something better than you ever imagined! If you’ve done this before and have gotten something amazing, let me know!
