GAP Vintage Flair jeans, UO faux leather bomber jacket, Guess by Marciano Logo Tee, Juicy Couture infinity scarf, Guess by Marciano cover up, Aldo wedges, MAC “Ruby Woo” lipstick, Downtown LA earrings
I got these jeans for $10 at the mall yesterday. I had been eyeing them for month, obsessed with the HUGE bellbottom on the leg. However, I refused to pay $70 for them, when I knew they would eventually go on sale for a JAWDROPPING price. (Good call on that one, right?)
I’m kind of on the fence about them though. I’m usually a firm 27 in GAP jeans, but these ones are fitting a little differently. I stuck with the 27, since I know that GAP jeans tend to stretch (A LOT) but these ones haven’t really budged. It’s making me kind of nervous to put them in the dryer. However, I LOVE the silhouette of these jeans. I found myself constantly looking at them every time I passed anything reflective while I was working this morning. I feel like they do a good job of elongating my tiny legs and don’t really overpower my frame. I DID have to wear the highest shoes I owned in order to make them not drag on the floor though.
The shirt is one of the only logo tees I own from work. Considering I’ve been working for the company since July of 2009, this actually surprises me. I’m not normally a fan of logos (I don’t like thinking I have a billboard on my chest), but I just loved the fit of this top and the fact that the rhinestones sparkle from every direction.
Non-clothing related: Trevor has officially left for school and I’m doing my best to keep busy without my favorite boy at my side. School and work are good substitutes for a long distance boyfriend, right? I’m trying to figure out a good present to get him for Valentine’s Day, but I feel like I’m slowly running out of time (even though I have two weeks). I’m planning on driving down to Orange County that weekend to visit him and few of my other friends who live there.
School is already kicking my ass, but I don’t have the drive to do my homework…yet. It’ll get done, but I just miss my happy winter break bubble so much that it makes it difficult to sit down and focus on any reading (I have so much to do!)
Tomorrow night, my family and I are heading up to Santa Barbara where we’re catching a special seminar about the film The King’s Speech. The entire cast of the movie and the director will be there, discussing “the making of” and hopefully much more. Crossing my fingers that I get to meet Helena Bonham Carter…and if not, at least hoping she’ll be decked out in something CRAZY!
