Kimono: TJMaxx; Jeans and Sandals: Madewell; Tank: GAP; Necklace: Lucky Brand Outlet; Sunnies: Oliver Peoples ‘Jacey’
Today is my official last day with Oliver Peoples. A bunch of us are heading down to Happy Hour after, so I dressed accordingly. A lacy kimono is appropriate for cheap beers, right?
This is such a bittersweet experience. I’ve left jobs before, but none of them felt as jolting as this one. Maybe it’s because this was my first “big girl” job out of college? Thinking about not seeing my coworkers everyday is awful in so many ways (especially considering that I see them more than I see my own boyfriend) but on to the next adventure, right?
I keep thinking about my first day here. I was so nervous when I walked in and I didn’t know what to expect. I remember what I wore, what time I left that morning, what I was thinking about that first time that I made the commute to the office. It has all been running through my head the past couple of days. I started out as the receptionist and was able to train with the old receptionist (who wound up being my work best friend) for two weeks before flying solo. Within two months, I was promoted to my current position – where I’ve been for almost a year, now. Time has seriously flown and I’ve learned so much (both professionally and personally) along the way.

Sooooo … the other big announcement is that come Monday, I’ll be starting at Forever 21 corporate.
Someone pinch me? It doesn’t feel real yet!
