I went down to San Diego this weekend to visit one of my favorite people: Justine!
I’ve never been down to visit her (I know, BAD ALLIE) and so I figured it was about time I get on that and we put together a small little get together in her neck of the woods.
She was so great and took me all around UCSD (where she goes), showing me where she has classes and other interesting spots on campus. Then, we went to one of her favorite thrift stores in San Diego where I walked away with two paris of JCrew pants and a pair by Michael Kors.
Here are one of the AHHHmazing pairs from JCrew (and Justine and me being sexyfaced models):
Shirt: H&M, Pants: JCrew (thrifted), Scarf: Target, Pumps: GAP
To say I’m obsessed with these pants is prettttttty much the understatement of the year.
I was all proud of myself when I paired them with my striped top a la MANREPELLER.
I can do it too!
I can repel men with my pants!
Pat on the back for me!
I also found this wallet a second before I was about to pay and couldn’t help myself.
I gave that woman four dollars faster than you can say “UmmmAllieChristmasisrightaroundthecornerandyouneedtobuypresents”
See what I mean?
IT’S A MAP!
Which means I don’t need to worry about geography anymore, cause now I can study it whenever I go to pay for something. Which is everyday.
Whew, dodged a bullet with this one!
After shopping (we also made a stop at Buffalo Exchange), we got some food at a cheap Mexican place where I discovered Carne Asada fries for the first time. Apparently it’s just a bunch of meat, and a bunch of cheese, on a bunch of fries? I don’t know! They were good, I can tell you that much.
After THAT, we decided to go bar hopping (WOOT WOOT FOR BEING A GROWN UP) and I got a gross Long Island Iced Tea. Gross in the sense that there was like a teaspoon of soda and the rest was all alcohol and it took me almost an hour to drink the whole thing. Then we decided to take advantage of these handy wristbands that we got at some corner that got us free entry and free drinks at this one club:
After getting in for free, and drinking for free, we decided to dance for free as well!
We didn’t get back to her apartment until 4 in the morning. Epic evening.
The next morning, we all went out for breakfast and then I headed out of San Diego in the early afternoon. Sadly, I didn’t miss the rain for by the time I got to Orange County, it was literally coming down in sheets. Thankfully, the boyfriend lives in Orange so I just stopped over at his place and we hung out and then went to dinner. Nice!
I snapped this baby as I waited in my car for Trevor to come and rescue me.
And by rescue me, I mean bring me an umbrella so I didn’t get soaked on the short walk from my car to his apartment.
And that, my dear readers, was how I spent the weekend before Thanksgiving.
I can assure that this weekend, the weekend OF Thanksgiving, will be spent with much more food and much more clothes and I will do my best to document it for you (since I know you want to scope out our feast after eating yours!)
And as a parting gift from me to you:
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS BUT I WANT TO SQUEEZE IT SO BADLY!
