Let me just say, I’m one of those people who looks awful when a flash is on.
But because I had to take these when I got home from school (after the sun had said good-night) I was forced to use that bright, scary, mean thing that some people like but most people don’t.
Which is why I put these on the “antique” setting in hopes that I don’t come across as looking AS haggard.

Once school starts, I lose all desire to look cute/wear the good things in my closet. I wind up pulling out the basics that I over-wear and should really get rid of. These boots are no exception.
I wore them yesterday, today, and will most likely wind up wearing them tomorrow. You can’t tell from the picture, but the fake “leather” that they’re made of is slowly falling apart and if you look close enough, you can see patches on the boots where it has come off altogether. I can’t seem to get rid of them, though. Every time I wear them, I have strangers come up to me to ask me where I got them. Every time. Without fail.
Today was my second day of my second semester of junior year. (Try saying that ten times fast…). I had Lit Theory and Creative Non-Fiction Writing and now as I’m thinking about them, I’m actually quite pleased with how they went. My Lit Theory class is most likely going to be a nightmare (TONS OF READING AND TRYING TO TRANSLATE TEXTS THAT ARE IN ENGLISH BUT MAY AS WELL BE IN A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE) and I really like the professor. Non-Fiction is going to be exactly like Fiction Writing last semester, which was decent and not too difficult to juggle with other classes.
I got invited to apply to join the Morter’s Board Honor Society (for college Seniors) and after looking over the application, I think I’m going to try and go for it. It’ll look good on resumes and applications after all!
Grad school, here I come!
Until then, I will continue to wear my basics and will continue to ignore all the expensive dresses in my closet that never get worn.
Till next time!
