Up in the canyons of Malibu, there lives a little winery (well, not so little) called Malibu Wines. One of my favorite friends works there and ever since she started, she’s been telling me that on Thursday nights in the summer, they set up a big screen and play old movies. We FINALLY made it up there last night – and it was just as wonderful as it sounds…
You can bring your own food, drink their wine and hang out either at tables or on picnic blankets in the grass. It’s even better at night – there are twinkle lights weaved into the branches of the trees! We were able to watch The Sting – an old con man film featuring Paul Newman and a young (and handsome) Robert Redford. See what else is being played throughout the rest of the summer HERE.

I’m unemployed for two days (that beautiful little time period between jobs) and I’m enjoying being able to do the summer vacation things that people get to experience when they don’t have to be up at the crack of dawn for work (or being at work during the day, for that matter). Yesterday was so jammed with activities, but so wonderful due to the fact that it was so hectic.
Come Monday, it’s back to the grind!
