Life lately has been spent trying to enjoy the summer as much as possible. It’s funny how much, when you were in high school and college, you took “summer break” for granted. I would count down the days till I could be back at school with all of my friends on a regular basis. These days, I would give anything to have one last summer. But alas, the real world has called and summer is enjoyed on the weekends and after work. I’ve been trying to stay as creative as possible, which can be rough considering I sit behind a desk for 40 hours a week. The weather is super inspirational right now, though – it just makes me want to run around with friends and the boyfriend and enjoy the moment.
Last night, Trevor and I sat outside in my backyard with a bottle of wine, our legs tangled, for what felt like hours. It was wonderful. We just sat back there and talked and enjoyed the AMAZING weather (seriously – it was gorgeous out until like, 11pm) and it was so nice, cause it just reminded me of summers past when we didn’t have a care in the world. It was a nice little distraction from everything and just reminded me how much I adore him.
Finishing up this much needed holiday weekend by cleaning out the closet (hah!) as much as I possibly can. It’s seriously taken on a mind of it’s own and it’s more like I’m living in a walk-in closet than a bedroom right now.
In other news – I’m taking off two days from work in July since Justine is FINALLY coming home. And a few of us are headed to New Orleans in the beginning of September – so there are plenty of good things to look forward to!
