HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!!
Today was my mom’s birthday, so we spent the morning at a 5K Turkey Trot the next town over. When we got home, my oldest friend Justine was sitting on my bed watching New Girl. I was under the impression that she was going to be staying in Seattle for the holiday, so needless to say, I FREAKED when I saw her (there’s video to prove it).
Now, we’re just sitting on the couch watching Harry Potter and waiting till it’s time to head over to our neighbor’s at 6:30. I think we’ll be braving some of the shopping madness come midnight at the local mall, more for the experience than anything. I’ve spent the past four black fridays working, so it’ll be fun to finally experience it!
I love days like today, though. Where you get to spend them with all the people that you love. All my favorite people are here. We’re all healthy and happy. There’s not much more I could possibly ask for. I’m SO thankful for everything and everyone in my life. I’ve been given so many incredible opportunities and I’ve been surrounded by so many extraordinary people. So days like this, where we can sit and be thankful for all that we have, are truly special.
