My friend I went to a debutante ball and we spend weeks planning out what we were going to wear. I was obsessed with Rent the Runway, and obsessively narrowed down my choices until I picked the PERFECT dress for the event. Despite that, I have no idea who designed the dress that I ultimately wore, cause it had no label and I borrowed it from some epically wonderful friends who came to my aid when the dress I did rent (designer) didn’t work out.
Needless to say, it made the entire experience that much more special knowing I was dressed by friends who cared enough to let me barge in on their home in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday in order to raid their closet to find something to wear.
